Keglen is a design by BIG Ideas in collaboration with Louis Poulsen that was released in 2017. The idea was to create a simple but unique lamp with an emphasis on geometry and the essence of light. The collaboration between Louis Poulsen and BIG Ideas began with the development of a suspension lamp for the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand, a building that BIG had designed for the Varde Museums.

VL38 wall lamp is based on the original design of the VL38 table lamp. The VL38 table lamp was originally designed in the late 1930s by Vilhelm Lauritzen in partnership with Louis Poulsen for the construction of the Radiohuset building (the Danish broadcasting house) in Copenhagen (today the Royal Danish Academy of Music). Vilhelm Lauritzen’s lamp design, VL38 and the pendant VL45 both designed for Radiohuset, started to appear in Louis Poulsen catalogues after World War 2 in the middle of the 1940s. 

In 1956, Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Eklipta for Rødovre Town Hall. The concept came in two sizes: 350 mm and 450 mm. They were used on indoor stairs or as wall lights in outdoor spaces. A 220mm version was later designed for St Catherine's University, England. When Arne Jacobsen used the luminaire on stairs, he always preferred the larger model.

The first LP Grand of 2016 was born when Louis Poulsen asked Christian Flindt to develop a ceiling lamp for large spaces that would work at different scales and take up little space. At the same time, the luminaire had to have the DNA of Louis Poulsen and be a “Design that shapes light”, even on a large scale.

Initially, the PH Hat, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1961, was available in two sizes. With the PH Hat, Henningsen sought to design a lamp for bedrooms, among other uses. The pink interior of the lampshade provides a soft and pleasant light. Today, only the smallest version is available. The PH Hat is also perfect for foyers, stairs and hallways.

The AJ lamp series is considered worldwide to be the best work of Danish architect Arne Jacobsen. He designed the series in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (current Radisson Collection). At that time it consisted of a floor lamp, a wall lamp, a table lamp, a smaller table lamp and a lamp designed to be fixed to a table.

Originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu) it was part of the overall design devised for the hotel. Several of the products created for the hotel are considered design icons and within the lighting industry in particular, the AJ lamp has achieved worldwide fame. With the 50th anniversary of the launch of the AJ family, the version for outdoor use was introduced.

LK (Lauritz Knudsen) created the Skot light in the early 20th century. It was initially conceived for boats and maritime areas but, over the years, it has become very well received in other environments where its compact and resistant design is very interesting. The LED version appeared in 2012.

Poul Henningsen designed the three-screen system in 1925-1926. Together with Louis Poulsen, PH designed the first lamps to use this system for an exhibition in Paris. The collaboration between the two continued until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, PH sought to create direct, glare-free lighting in places where it was needed most. Additionally, he used incandescent bulbs as a light source to create soft shadows.

The Albertslund Wall Light was designed by Jens Møller-Jensen in 1963 for a housing project in Albertslund, Denmark. It is a wall light that follows the same design as the Albertslund post: an anti-glare ring, three bolts and a Saturn ring that acts as a reflector.

The Nyhavn Wall Lamp was designed by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær in 1976. The Nyhavn Wall Lamp was awarded in a competition organized by Louis Poulsen on the lighting of old urban areas or of heritage value. Before the competition, Alfred Homann had been working on different sketches and models. Thanks to this, he and his colleague Ole V. Kjær were able to present the necessary material in just five days.
