I was looking out of my dormer-window at the row of houses just across our street. Families assembled home after a day of work/school. Slowly (each at a time) they turned on their lights. In a childlike way I thought of clicking the lights on myself by pushing in the dormer-windows across the street. In the design ‘ON-OFF’’ I have translated this sentiment in the most concise way by using the dormer-window as a switch. I want to seduce the visitor to (re-)think common situations. To show him or her an ordinary situation from a different perspective.

These leaves, detailed like classical sculptures, have a formal balance with their vase and are an elegant alternative in the panorama of table lamps. The relationship between light and plants has always fascinated me through the wonder of photosynthesis, in the same way the plant subject and lighting has created a very intriguing combination in my imagination.
