Reflecting Mogens Lassen’s functionalist approach to design, the Kubus 8 candle holder from 1962 is as relevant today as ever. To mark the 60^th anniversary of the now iconic design, the Kubus 8 Raw was launched in 2022. As its name suggests, it has been left untreated, acquiring a beautiful patina over time. Undergoing 16 individual crafting processes, the Kubus 8 Raw is made entirely by hand, cut, welded, soldered, sanded and polished using traditional techniques. A single piece takes a skilled craftsperson an average of 45 minutes to make.

Light’in is a decorative lantern, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Made from glass and powder coated metal, its simple yet impactful look brings atmospheric glow to any setting.

An elegant masterpiece by the husband-and-wife designer duo Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen, the Pagode Sofa is unknown to most. Avantgarde and artistic for its time, its low, almost flat, armrests and beautiful V-shaped legs make it light and precise in its design language – and give the sofa a contemporary look. Taking its name from Asian architecture, it is expressive and unique in its simplicity – much like the temples it refers to. First presented to the world in 1956, today it remains a striking piece of design. Available in natural oak or walnut and upholstered in leather.

The Kubus Bowl is inspired by Mogens Lassen’s iconic Kubus candle holder and features elements of Bauhaus design – one of the Danish designer’s primary sources of inspiration. The German artistic movement, with its signature angular, geometric style, brought accessible and functional design to the people. The Kubus Bowl is a natural extension of the iconic Kubus candle holder series. Suited to a multitude of uses – as a herb pot, container for knick knacks and more – an inlay is available separately to protect the surface before being used to hold food, plants or other items.

Kubus Lolo is a natural extension of the Kubus series, which includes the Kubus Line candle holder and Kubus Bowl as well as Mogens Lassen’s original candle holder design, the vase is framed by a metal cube and crafted with a central chamber to hold flowers or branches. The minimalist, Bauhaus-inspired design makes an equally striking statement left unfilled.

In 1942 Mogens Lassen designed the Stool ML42 as a piece for a furniture exhibition held at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art. He took inspiration from the stools used by the shoemakers of the past, and transferred the light, elegant look to the creation of this sculptural three-legged stool. The Stool ML42 is considered a collector’s item by international design connoisseurs.

When Mogens Lassen wanted to create a stool that was an extension of the body, he looked to those used by shoemakers, transferring their light and elegant look to his sculptural three-legged design. Now considered a collector’s item, the ML42 was first designed in 1942. Shaped from wood to support the body, it is offered in three different heights, each featuring a moulded seat and tripod-like legs. The addition of a metal foot bar on the bar and counter versions ensures further comfort when seated for extended periods. Lightweight and easy to move around, it is offered in black-stained beech, soap treated oak and brown-oiled oak.
