Originally designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1957, the AJ lamp is among Arne Jacobsen's most important design icons. Originally, the product family included a floor lamp, a wall lamp, a table lamp and a small table lamp, as well as a table lamp designed to attach to the table.

The VL Studio family arises from a lamp designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for Radiohuset, the headquarters of the Danish national radio and television company, located in Copenhagen, in the 1940s. The name “Studio” was chosen because some of these lamps were used outside the recording studio to indicate, with a red or green light, whether a live broadcast was taking place.

The lamp was designed by Nendo design studio of Japan and designer Oki Sato. NJP Table is a new interpretation of the classic architect lamp. Keglen is a design by BIG Ideas in collaboration with Louis Poulsen that was released in 2017. The idea was to create a simple but unique lamp with an emphasis on geometry and the essence of light. The collaboration between Louis Poulsen and BIG Ideas began with the development of a suspension lamp for the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand, a building that BIG had designed for the Varde Museums.

The VL38 table lamp was originally designed in the late 1930s by Vilhelm Lauritzen in partnership with Louis Poulsen for the construction of the Radiohuset building (the Danish broadcasting house) in Copenhagen (today the Royal Danish Academy of Music). Vilhelm Lauritzen’s lamp design, VL38 and the pendant VL45 both designed for Radiohuset, started to appear in Louis Poulsen catalogues after World War 2 in the middle of the 1940s.

Dipping Light was born as an experiment - dipping a lit light bulb into paint several times - but it becomes a lamp. Thus, the various layers of paint draw concentric circles and trap the light, attenuating its intensity. The paint becomes a screen, coloring the light and giving it texture. A brass or graphite base is added as support. This artisanal process makes each lamp unique and exclusive.
