The unique honeycomb grill of Calipso was generated by feeding a photo of the moon into an image-based algorithm found on a seemingly extinct computer. The resulting fractal shape, an impure geometry that displays the irregular beauty of nature, is built from an organic honeycomb of different diameter tubes, seemingly arranged in a random geometry.

Chlorophilia, presented in 2015, define an optical and compositive principle which could be repeated multiplying the elements to create compositions, which develop in space on multiple levels or widen in lenght.  Chlorophilia 2 doubles the transparent surface on two levels supporting even more the scenic presence of this suspension. 

The diffuser, which characterizes this family of lamps with materiality and texture, can be tilted 30° and rotated on its axis to direct the light towards reading; in Choose Floor remains fixed in the Mega version.

Suspension lamp, matching the wall light. Nine concentric and mobile ellipses, made from a single aluminum plate, serve as the basis for a circuit of 384 white LEDs. The ellipses rotate independently along two different axes, a detail that allows the light beam to be oriented and numerous spatial configurations to be obtained in parallel. When the device is closed it is completely flat.

“The concept on which my work is based is to freeze an instant that would seem to be born from the air that slides through a thin sheet, to obtain a very natural flow and rhythm, in the ethereal sculptural coating. The final result consists of an artifact that seems to hang on a cushion of air, defying the Law of Gravity. Like the Cosmos, in those complex shapes and geometries, which seem to defy all logical explanation, while recreating a sensation of infinity.”
