Lladró has been inspired by pre-modern Japanese warriors to create an imposing sculpture that expresses the qualities that defined these protective guardians: containment and strength. Samurai Warrior is made of stoneware, an ideal material for large creations decorated with enamels. These pigments, when crystallized in the oven, acquire an endless number of nuances that are also different in each piece, so each resulting figure is unique and unrepeatable. The work of the ornamenters on the armour, helmet and skirt, hand-engraved, completes the piece.
