The Ferm Living x Utzon – Can Lis collaboration draws inspiration from architect Jørn Utzon’s family home in Mallorca, merging the natural environment with design elements that reflect his unique philosophy. The Sala Piece highlights the beauty of FSC™-certified Douglas fir. Drawing inspiration from the on-site joinery and millwork of Can Lis, the piece embodies a balance between rustic domesticity and an inherent lightness. The checkerboard-like grain pattern emphasises craftsmanship, blending classical techniques with a modern aesthetic. Thoughtfully considered, the Sala Piece goes beyond functionality, underscoring its design with a sense of architectural resonance.
