Poul Henningsen designed the three-screen system installed in 1925-1926. In 1931 the first lights to use this system were designed for an exhibition in Paris. He continued to work with Louis Poulsen until his death, which occurred in 1967. Throughout his life, PH sought to create direct and non-luminous lighting in the places where it was most needed. In addition, he used incandescent bulbs as a light source to create soft shadows. In 1931 the four-screen system was launched to create a lighting system that could be hung to a certain height and offer an alternative to traditional spider lamps.
