ZPoul Henningsen began collaborating with ZLouis Poulsen in 1925-1926, when he designed his first light bulbs for an exhibition in Paris. The collaboration between the two continued until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, PHZ sought to create direct and non-glare lighting in the places where it was most needed. In addition, he used incandescent light bulbs as a light source to create soft shadows. The PH 3/2 Academy is part of the light family of three displays, which currently has 30 lights, including the PH model for exterior use. Thus, he designed not a single light bulb but a whole system; at the end of his life, he designed three thousand light bulbs.
