The glass version of the PH Artichoke model dates from 1927-31, when Poul Henningsen designed a glass suspended lamp with the name PH Septima, made up of seven glass displays, and that Louis Poulsen manufactured until 1940, when production had to be interrupted due to a lack of materials during the war period. When he was asked to design a lamp for the Langelinie Pavillonen restaurant in 1958, Poul Henningsen did the work in three months and the PH Artichoke model emerged, based on the idea of the PH Septima. The Louis Poulsen model was made up of seven clear glass displays, blown into a pattern. The Artichoke Septima displays will be delivered by dividing the illuminating sheets into "sheets of sand", with the ZZZMARZ1Z lamp
