Poul Henningsen designed his first lights in 1925-1926 for an exhibition in Paris. He continued to work with Louis Poulsen until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, PH sought to create direct and non-luminous lighting in places where it was most needed. In addition, he used incandescent bulbs as a light source to create soft shadows.
