The Nyhavn Wall Lamp was awarded in a competition organized by Louis Poulsen on the lighting of old urban areas or of heritage value. Before the competition, Alfred Homann had been working on different sketches and models. Thanks to this, he and his colleague Ole V. Kjær were able to present the necessary material in just five days.

€552.00 €690.00 -20%The VL Ring Crown family derives from a lamp designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Danish Broadcasting Company building, located in Copenhagen, in the 1940s, where the wall and suspension versions, with their characteristic organic shape, found good use. For this project, Vilhelm Lauritzen also created the VL38 and VL45 lamps. The VL Ring Crown never made an appearance there, but not long after, a Ring Crown based on the original designs was introduced.
