Arne designed this luminaire, among many other concepts, for the SAS Royal Hotel Copenhagen in 1957. This wall lamp provides a pleasant downward-directed light thanks to its white-painted inner face. Additionally, its screen can be tilted to adjust the light distribution.

The AJ lamp family is considered, worldwide, as Jacobsen's most famous design. In addition to the AJ wall lamp, the AJ family consisted of a nice downward-directed light lamp, another smaller-sized desk lamp, a foot lamp, and a table mounting lamp, each of which adorned the SAS Royal Hotel after its inauguration in 1960.

The VL Ring Crown family derives from a lamp designed by the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the building of the Danish Radio Broadcasting Company, located in Copenhagen, in the 1940s, where the wall and suspension versions, with their characteristic organic form, found good use.

For this project, Vilhelm Lauritzen also created the VL38 and VL45 lamps. The VL Ring Crown never made an appearance there, but not long afterwards, a Ring Crown based on the original designs was introduced. In 1947, designer Finn Juhl, who worked for Vilhelm Lauritzen, used the VL Crown three-wheel as part of the interior design for the Danish manufacturer of Bingham & Crown lighting.

The VL Studio family arises from a lamp designed by the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for Radiohuset, the headquarters of the Danish national radio broadcasting company, in Copenhagen, in the 1940s. The designation Studio was chosen because some of these lamps were used outside the recording studio to indicate, with a red or green light, whether a live broadcast was being carried out. Vilhelm Lauritzen was the architect responsible for the functionalist style of Radiohuset, inaugurated in 1945. The Radiohuset is a full-fledged flexible lightwork, as is the case with most of the Lauritzen, both of which means that for this project the architect provided all the grohuset interior and interior lights. ...

The NJP series was designed by Oki Sato, founder of the design studio Nendo, with the intention of giving a new interpretation to the classic Anglepoise articulated arm lamp with all its known characteristics, in a current design that would adapt functions to the way of working today, both in the office and at home. The NJP Aplique's directional arms and head make it exceptionally adjustable, something that most applications do not usually boast. All this is a perfect light for the bedroom, where it is increasingly common to see adjustable beds and where it can be difficult to find a place to fix an applique. ...

Poul Henningsen designed the three-screen light system in 1925-1926. Along with Louis Poulsen, PH designed the first lamps to use this system for an exhibition in Paris. Collaboration between the two continued until his death in 1967. Throughout his lifetime, he sought to create direct and unblemished lighting in the places where it was most needed. In addition, he used incandescent light bulbs as a light source to create soft shadows. The PH 3/2 Aplique is part of the three-screen family, which currently has 30 lights, including three for outdoor use. Therefore, PHli did not design a whole lighting system; over the course of three years, a number of different models have been created. ...

VL38 wall lamp is based on the original design of the VL38 table lamp. The VL38 table lamp was originally designed in the late 1930s by Vilhelm Lauritzen in partnership with Louis Poulsen for the construction of the Radiohuset building (the Danish broadcasting house) in Copenhagen (today the Royal Danish Academy of Music). Vilhelm Lauritzens lamp design, VL38 and the VL45 both designed for Radiohuset, started to appear in Louis Poulsen catalogues after World War 2 in the middle of the 1940s. ...
